What counts as a deal in this tracker?
Signed or completed transactions (acquisitions, stakes, financing, joint ventures, land purchases, data center leases and power agreements), exclusive negotiations, a company’s own announcement of a specific new campus with a value or capacity, and government agreements that name the investor and state an amount or capacity. Permits for older projects, proposals with no named operator, groundbreakings of earlier projects and general MoUs are left out and listed with the reason.
Where do the numbers come from?
Every row is built from a page we opened: the company release, a stock-exchange or securities filing, or a government notice where one exists, otherwise a named trade publication. A second analyst re-opens each source and checks the date, parties, value and capacity before the row is published. Nothing is estimated.
Why are all values in US dollars?
USD is our standard so deals can be compared. Amounts reported in other currencies are converted at the European Central Bank reference rate of the announcement date and marked as converted by DC Market Insights. When a source gives an amount without a currency, we show no value.
How far back does the free table go?
The free table shows the latest 90 days of tracked deals. The quarterly data packs hold every deal in the period with original amounts, exchange rates, source dates and a methodology sheet, in Excel.
Can I get deals for one market, or a briefing?
Yes. Our analysts prepare custom cuts (by country, deal type, buyer or period) and due diligence briefings. Write to us through the contact page.
